Matisse Drawings

I'm always the last to know about these exhibits. This was in Brisbane in 2011.  Enjoy this short window into Henri Matisse's life practice of drawing.

I was fortunate enough to have already moved to Brisbane so I was able to visit this exhibition a few times. What an enchanting experience! It was wonderful to be able to examine the drawings up close. The Drawing Room was lovely too - encouraged many people to sit and draw. Not surprisingly, no photos could be taken of the exhibit, but I have a photo on my blog of The Drawing Room from above.
